In my attempt to be more crafty, I have decided that I should learn how to sew a little better!
I have done a couple of skirts for Samantha to wear to church, but I wanted to make a dress for her. So with a LOT of phone calls to mom, "a bit" of stress and frustration, and a sewing machine needle through my middle finger, I completed my first full dress!
Samantha was super excited to wear it to church. I think it turned out ok. I still have a lot to learn, and I'm sure it'll get easier the more I do it.
So now, I need to get started on my next project...a dress WITH SLEEVES!!
YIKES!
Christopher has been asking daddy if he could shave. The other day BJ told Chris that he could shave on Sunday. I didn't think anything of it, until BJ called me in this morning asking me if I wanted to watch Chris shave. WHAT??!
HAD HE GONE OUT OF HIS MIND???
Ok, he hadn't, Chris was "shaving" with his finger!

awww.... you did a great job! I love it! And I love the shaving!
Also love the picture below of all the prego's HOW FUN!
Cute dress! You did a great job on it. If I only had a penny for every time I sewed my finger, I would have about 50 cents!!!
Look at the smooth shave!!! Did he use Old Spice after shave too???
AWESOME dress!! Great job Sis!! I remember when we moved into this house (only 11 years ago)... I was on the phone with Mom ALL THE TIME trying to figure out those crazy patterns while trying to sew church dresses for my little girls. Mom is an AMAZINGLY patient teacher... and you're OBVIOUSLY an talented student!!
Love ya!
A popsicle stick also works well as a "razor"for pretend shavers. :)
