Easter is always a fun time. It's a wonderful time to remember our Savior and all that He has done for us so that we can live again. This year, with Easter falling on Conference Weekend, we got to also hear the words of our loving Prophet and Apostles. What an amazing blessing the Gospel is in our lives.
It's also a great time to spend with friends and family. This Easter we invited some friends over to watch Conference and eat and let the kids look for easter eggs! It was a great day!
We started off the morning with the kids looking for the easter eggs that the Easter Bunny hid. They found them all pretty well.
Except for a couple. BJ ended up giving hints... I thought I was at his parents house again!
There was an egg hidden in the corner on the mantle under our family picture.
BJ started singing..."I have a family here on earth, they are so good to me...." It didn't take the kids to long to figure that one out!
Then there was an egg hidden in this little bucket that had hearts cut out of it.
BJ started singing, "There's a hole in the bucket, dear Liza, dear Liza. There's a hole in the bucket, deal Liza, a hole." That one took a little longer, but it was still funny to see BJ turn into his DAD!!! :)
Then it was time for them to find their baskets. Lucky for BJ, the Easter Bunny didn't hide his basket this year! Whew!!
Christopher and Samantha had to model their cute new clothes and cool sunglasses that the Easter Bunny gave them in their basket.
Then when our friends got here we had a delicious breakfast of Eggs Benedict and Fruit Salad, YUMMM, and then watched the morning session of Conference.
After the first session we did an Easter Egg hunt in the backyard. The kids had fun finding all the eggs and then checking out their loot!
After Conference was over we prepared a yummy Ham dinner with Au Gratin potatoes, Veggies and BJ's home made rolls. We were SO full! And there was still cheesecake for dessert! Yikes!
It was a wonderful day spent with friends and watching Conference. We are very blessed with all that we have!
