Little League Baseball!

Christopher has started Little League Baseball and he is loving it! This is his first year but the kids his age are in coach pitch, so he didn't start out with T-ball. I was a little worried at first but he is catching on really well!

He was assigned to the White Sox team. His team is made up of 6-8 year olds. He is the youngest and smallest on the team, but the older kids all really like him and enjoy playing with him! Because he is the smallest on the team, he has become the one that the rest of the team loves to come up to and put their arm around and wrestle with him! Chris loves it and does pretty good at holding his own!
(You can see here how much smaller he is than the rest of his team!
He's the little guy in front of #2 in the red shirt!)

His coaches are great! Each practice they have them warm up catching and throwing and then they run drills and work on the basics of baseball.
They really take the time with each of the kids to work on different skills. Chris got some one on one time working on batting. They started him out with a T so he could work on his swing and stance.
Then they let him try out some batting being pitched to. He did really well!
Chris always wants to practice his catching, throwing and batting. And he is SO excited on the days that he has practice or a game!
(I love his lips in this picture during a water break! Too cute, I had to include it!)
