Free Night!

Tonight we actually had a free night, with no plans, and all of us home together! It was nice! The kids went for a bike ride while BJ and I walked the dog. It was a nice night, not too hot!

Then when we got home we played some games. First we had a contest to see who could roll from one side of the room . . . . to the other. . .
We all got pretty dizzy! You don't see it in the video, but Chico kept trying to get us in the face! She just wanted to play too! It was fun!

Then we played a little Ring Around the Rosies and BJ spun them around. When we were all ready to sit and relax, the kids took turns letting BJ listen to their hearts (because they were beating so fast). BJ made the kids laugh by telling them that their hearts were saying silly things, like peanut butter sandwiches, jump-roping hampster, milkshakes and a bunch of other goofy things. When the kids listened to my heart they told me it was saying pancakes and syrup! They laughed pretty hard!

I love being able to spend time as a family and play silly games! And it's fun to listen to the kids laugh so much.

What fun!!! We still have silly nights like that even with the older kids. Those nights are fewer and farther between though so we just enjoy them when we can.

Just think of all the games and fun things that you can do in that nice big empty room. The possibilities are endless, and you and BJ can come up with some great ones. You are really clever like that.
