Nana and Poppy's visit

On Wednesday, my parents flew in to see BJ's recital and then were able to stay and visit until Monday afternoon. We had a GREAT visit and wish that it didn't have to end! Here are a few highlights from their visit!

Wednesday:
BJ's recital.
I'm a dufus and didn't bring my camera so I didn't get any pictures. My mom, however, brought her digital video camera and got it all on video. At least someone was prepared!! She's wonderful and is sending us a copy of it! Yea! :)

Thursday:
We took Nana and Poppy for a tour around campus and the institute. Alli and Poppy played a game of pool in the lounge and the kids played fusbal. Then we took the kids to the park while BJ was in classes. Again, I'm a dufus without the camera!

Friday:
We went to a Spring Training game! The boys were pretty excited to get there, so they walked ahead!!
It was a beautiful day and it felt so good to sit in the sun! The game wasn't even close...the Diamondbacks beat the Mariners 14-6! Christopher took his baseball glove and was ready to catch the ball if it came our way!

Saturday:
We went to the zoo! The kids love the zoo and they wanted to show it to Nana and Poppy! They got to feed the giraffes (although I do know what happened to my picture of Nana feeding the giraffe...hmmm?!)
We got to see a snake eat a mouse. It was pretty interesting!
And we got to see a white peacock work long and hard trying to impress the ladies! It was beautiful! He would turn around in circles and shake his body causing his feathers to rustle...it was pretty cool!
That night we went to a place called Pinnacle Peak. It's set up like an old western -type town that has steak house restaurants, a shooting arcade, a general store, souvenir shops, a train ride, a carousel, and an old shoot-out show. It was fun! We went to the shoot out show, it was cute.
The kids rode on the carousel...
practiced their aim at the arcade...
and posed with the wooden cut outs.

We rode on the train, wandered through the shops and then they were thrown in jail!

Sunday:
This was a busy day for BJ. He played his bassoon in Sacrament Meeting, taught Gospel Doctrine and then taught in Elders Quarm. He was also called to be the 1st counselor in the Elders Quarm Presidency before church started!
The rest of the day we just relaxed and enjoyed the quiet of the sabbath!
Monday:
Monday morning we went to the Pima Air and Space Museum. It was neat. We went there when BJ's parents came to visit too. This is the only picture I took while we were there. The kids are coming out of President Kennedy's Air Force One.
That evening our fun came to an end...Nana and Poppy had to leave. We had so much fun while they were here and it was hard to say goodbye. Thank you so much for coming to visit! Hopefully we will be able to make it up to visit this summer!! WE LOVE AND MISS YOU SO MUCH!!!

I can say it was lots and lots of fun. Thanks Bedonts for taking such good care of us and showing us a good time. We love and miss you. We are going to start taking Sadie to the dog park because of the fun we had with Chico at your dog park. We think about all the good times all the time. Anxious to do it again!!!
