Today since BJ had the day off of school, we decided to go to Brandi Fenton Memorial Park here that has a real fun splash pad and a lot of sidewalks and tracks that are great for the kids to ride their bikes on . When we first got there we let the kids ride their bikes around until it got too hot. We saw a lot of other cyclists, and a couple of horseback riders. The kids had fun saying "hi" to everyone they passed and rode until it got too hot to ride. Then we headed to the splash pad! Christopher had fun squirting people with the water gun!

Samantha had fun running through the water shooting up from out of the ground!

After running around for a while, Chris and Samantha started laying down in the puddle in the middle. I was watching them roll around in the puddle when they suddenly started doing this...
I laughed....Arizona Snow Angels!!
After they were sufficiently soaked and ready to dry off, we decided to go somewhere and stop for lunch. There is a local restaurant here called Eegee's (pronounced: ee jee 's ) that has slushie type drinks that they call eegee's and I'd heard that they were really good. So we looked up where the closest one was and headed to it! For some reason we thought it was going to be on the right side of the road and so BJ and I were looking on the right. As we were driving, Christopher says from the back seat..."There it is!" and points to the left of the car! I turned to look at what he was pointing at and ...there it was! Christopher had found Eegee's. My first thought was 'How did he know that was an Eegee's?' So I asked him, "How did you know?" He responded, "I read it!" Very impressive! I can barely pronounce it, and he is reading it!! Nice job Chris! So after we turned around, we got to the Eegees and had a nice sub sandwich lunch with the famous Eegee slushie! Yummy!

After lunch we decided to go to the Children's Museum. It was a pretty fun place! There were all kinds of fun rooms for the kids to play and learn in. They had a body health room that was real neat! There was a bass drum hooked up to a heart rate monitor and if you put your hands on the metal plates the drum would beat your heart beat. It was fun! There was this skeleton puzzle that Christopher and Samantha had fun figuring out. They did pretty good!

Samantha had a lesson from daddy on how to climb the climbing wall.
There was also a dinosaur room with life size, animated dinosaurs, a room with building blocks, a room with all different kinds of trains, a room showing how electricity worked and different cranks and knobs that the kids could turn and push to see how much electricity they could create! Plus lots more!
We had a long, fun-filled day and by the time we headed for home Samantha was worn out!!
