It's this time of year that the word "Resolution" comes out in full force. I, personally, despise this word. I like to set GOALS for myself on a regular basis, so the idea of a "Resolution" every January that most likely will be broken does not sound appealing to me. But I feel that after the holidays, when things are so out of routine, once the new year starts and routines are back in place, it is a great time to start on some new goals.
I am struggling with this because there are SO MANY things that I can improve on, I have a hard time choosing which ones to start with.
Often times I get so eager that I set too many goals and become overwhelmed and then get down on myself when I'm not as successful and I'd like to be. It causes me to look closely at the things that I want to improve on and makes me determine which are most important to me at this time in my life. Then once those goals are reached I can set out to accomplish the others.
I am grateful for the things that I've been able to work on and improve myself on this last year and I hope that I will be successful in reaching the goals I've set for myself this year.
I hope that all of you who have chosen to set goals (or resolutions...if that's your thing) this year are successful and that you have a healthy and happy 2011.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

I agree with goals instead of resolutions. Resolutions are a promise that we oftentimes cannot keep. Goals are something we strive to achieve.
Happy New Year to all of you!!
