Today we had our ward Christmas Party. It's always a great activity that our Activities Committee puts on.
Of course Santa was there for the kids...
On the way over to the church, Chris was being SO cute. It was like he was preparing himself and rehearsing what he was going to say when he saw Santa. The conversation went kind of like this:
Chris: "Mom, Do I get to tell Santa what I want for Christmas?"
Me: "If he asks you, yes!"
Chris: "Well, I'm going to tell him I want a Nerf Blaster."
Me: "Ok. He might also ask you if you've been good or not this year. And you don't want to lie to him because he already knows if you have or not, so he'd know if you were lying and that would not be good if you lied to Santa."
Chris: "Oh....well...have I been good, mom?"
Me: "Do you think you have? Have you done anything bad or been naughty at all this year?"
Chris: "Um......(long pause)....I think I have....been...good, a little bad......But MOSTLY good!"
Me: "Ok, we'll see what Santa says! I think you'll been ok!"
It was so funny to hear/watch him think this all through!
When we got there they ran up to him and gave him the biggest hug! They were SO excited to see him!
After we saw Santa, we went in for the breakfast. There is always a ton of delicious sweet breakfast foods and the kids never hold back on the donuts and cinnamon rolls!
After we ate they put on a live Nativity Show. It was very special! What a fun Christmas party! I sure do love this time of the year that we have to Celebrate the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ and to enjoy the spirit that this season brings!
