Two Wheels!

This last week Chris decided that he wanted to try riding his bike without training wheels. So we took them off. It was a little rough at first, but soon he caught on and is now a PRO! We are so proud of him! He will ride in circles up and down our little street. All he needs to work on now is starting by himself!
At the same time we thought it might be fun to try and get Samantha to ride without training wheels too...but she wasn't even close to ready. A family in our ward told us about this cool way to teach kids to learn to ride without training wheels and that their daughter was riding without them by the time she turned 3! Wow!
So, they told us the technique and said that in 2-3 weeks, our kids would be riding without a problem. Well, since Chris was already on his way, we thought we'd try with Samantha.

Are you ready??? Here's the technique...
Take the chain and pedals off their bike, and lower the seat so they can sit with their feet flat on the ground.

That's it! They will scoot around until they get comfortable and start scooting and lifting their feet up to coast. By then, they've gained their balance. So you put the chain and pedals back on and TaDa!

And well...

after only one week...

Ta. Da.
Check her out! We put the chain and pedals back on and we helped her on, gave her a push and off she went! No problems! Amazing!
We are very proud of Sammy, too, she's doing so well!
